Sleep Shop was established in 1979 with one goal in mind: helping you sleep better. We’ve stayed true to our roots as a family owned and operated business for more than 35 years. Our long-standing passion for sleep has led us to become one of the main sources for quality service and products across the Lower Mainland, as well as online.

Absolutely! It’s important to us to provide you with affordable options. In order to do so, we guarantee the lowest prices for our customers. If you find the same Kingsdown, Simmons, Spring Air, Sealy, or Tempur-Pedic at a price less than ours, bring the quote to us in writing and we’ll beat the price by 5%.

We value your business; however please note that ALL SALES are final after 24 hours of the date of purchase. No returns, exchanges or cancellations can be made to orders except for mattresses as outlined in the 60 Days Comfort Guarantee. Please also note all sales of custom size mattresses, pillows, sheets, mattress protectors and futon covers are FINAL, no exceptions will be made.

As your sleep experts, we want to ensure your mattress is as comfortable and supportive as possible, which is why we offer a 60-days comfort trial with your purchase. If you’re not fully satisfied with your selection, simply arrange to come back in-store within 60 days to choose a new mattress at an equal or greater value, hassle free. Contact us for details.

We allow one exchange per customer. A minimum $65 fee for delivery is applicable for the exchange.

We strive to make the process of purchasing a new mattress as smooth as possible. If you purchase a mattress set valued over $499, we’ll deliver it absolutely free of charge. Better yet, if you purchase any bed frame from us along with your new mattress set, we’ll also install it for you at no charge. Before you know it, you’ll be having the sleep of your dreams.

What is your mattress recycling program? What is your mattress recycling program?

When you purchase a mattress set through us, we can take away your old mattress set upon delivery and have it recycled for a nominal fee. Rather than dumping your old mattress in a landfill, we’ve partnered with a local mattress recycling company that will recycle 100% of the set, using its parts for carpet underlay, railway ties, and many other steel, plastic, coil, and wood products. Whether you’re purchasing a new mattress through Sleep Shop or removing your old one, you can sleep soundly at night knowing you made the right choice for both yourself and the environment.

What’s the difference between latex and memory foam? What’s the difference between latex and memory foam?

You can take a look at our blog to learn more about latex and memory foam. In summary, natural latex is made from the sap of rubber trees, whereas memory foam was invented by NASA’s space program. Both materials are known for contouring your body, therefore providing excellent support, comfort, and motion isolation. Latex tends to sleep cooler than memory foam due to its breathability.

How often should I replace my mattress / pillow? How often should I replace my mattress / pillow?

We recommend replacing your mattress every 5 to 7 years. Depending on the material, pillows should be replaced between every 6 months for polyester to every 2 to 3 years for more durable materials such as latex and memory foam. After all, you spend ⅓ of your life in your bed, so you need to be sure you’re getting the best sleep possible.

Do I need a box spring / foundation? Do I need a box spring / foundation?

All mattress types require a solid surface to properly support your mattress. A solid surface includes a box spring / foundation, slatted surface, or solid wood surface. Depending on the type of frame you have, it may or may not require the use of a box spring. Box springs are available in 3 different heights, 2”, 5” (low profile) or 9”.
